Bio

Lela Graham was born in Great Falls, Montana, although Lela’s family served in the military and traveled overseas, Great Falls is her home.

Lela is running for House District 21. Lela grew up in a Union and Military household and her family still lives here. Lela Graham is running on the platform focusing on Health Care, especially with funding for substance use disorder including prevention and treatment. Lela attended public schools and will fight for public education. Lela also will fight for public lands.

After graduating high school Lela joined the US Army and served in the Military Intelligence Corps. After serving in the military, she moved to Virginia to attend the University of Virginia.  Lela graduated the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Lela spent over a decade in political management traveling across the country working on various levels of campaigns.

Lela is a Certified Recovery Coach with an emphasis on Harm Reduction and Problem Gambling, a Master Naloxone Trainer and for the last 4 years Lela has been the Montana State Lead for the Recovery Advocacy Project. Lela is a person in long-term recovery and is dedicated to bringing awareness and decrease the stigma for those from substance use disorder.  Lela is currently the Executive Director of Independence Rock Coalition: center for ethics, recovery and social justice.
